Gucci Garden: the “Belle Époque”

The genius and intuition of Alessandro Michele are again center!

This time we moved to Florence, in the cradle of the Renaissance, for a new and majestic project: the Gucci Garden.

What is it about? A unique experiment in the world, a sort of dynamic and interactive historical archive in which to admire articles taken from the first Gucci collections, dating back to the Florentine origins of the label (1921).

As Michele himself explains, this name was chosen because “The garden is real, but it belongs above all to the sphere of the imaginary, populated as it is of plants and animals; like the snake, which insinuates itself everywhere and which, in a certain sense, symbolizes a perpetual beginning and a perpetual return “.


In any case, forget the word “museum”: we speak rather of an interactive, creative and living space, in direct line with the current philosophy of the Maison.

What will it be possible to admire inside? Entering the Gucci Garden will be a sensory experience in the round. Clothing, accessories, video installations, graphic elaborations, documents and artefacts are organized by thematic areas (and not in chronological order) on the two floors of the building.

But it does not end here: delight for the eyes, but also for the palate!

One of the most famous chefs in the world for his cuisine, the starred chef Massimo Bottura, was called by Michele to manage inside a small restaurant (located on the ground floor): Osteria Gucci.

If after visiting the gallery you want to bring home a little memory, then you can stop at the boutique, where you will find not only exclusive clothing and accessories, but also items from the Gucci Décor collection!

The long-awaited day has arrived: today’s new collection of drawings ERDEM X H & M. is coming online and in stores. The theme is flowers, lace and poetry atmospheres for a modern and romantic woman.


The video of the spot was shot no less than by the eclectic Australian director Baz Luhrmann.

After Kenzo, chosen last year by H & M for his new designer collection, 2017 is the turn of Erdem.
Compared to its predecessors – Versace, Alexander Wang, Balmain, Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Isabel Marant and Maison Martin Margiela – the choice fell this year on a name far more than niche. Erdem is a Canadian stylist, born in Montreal, Canada, British mother and Turkish father.
After studying fashion at Ryerson University in Toronto, she took part in Vivienne Westwood’s stage in London.
In 2003, after graduating from the Royal College of Art, he went to New York where he worked for Diane von Furstenburg before returning to London and launching his own brand. Erdem today is sold in over 170 stores and in 2015 the brand has opened its flagship store in Mayfair.

Rinascente: la grande bellezza made in Rome



Three years of work and 1852 days of construction work to create the eight floors of the new “Rinascente” center in Rome.

The inauguration, which took place on 12 October, saw star guests as Beppe Fiorello, Francesco Gabbani, Marcelo Burlon’s DJ set and music entertainment on Ennio Moricone’s notes.

The Palace – with two facades, one on Triton Street with three entrances, seven showcases and 96 windows, the other on Via Due Macelli – is characterized by a large atrium, visible from all floors, with rigid and squared lines that resume much the spirit of the rationalist architecture of the Colosseum Square.

Among the curiosities is a “building in the building”, the so-called “Palazzetto” of the twentieth century located inside the department store as a standing building and a Food Hall with food market, four restaurants and two terraces overlooking the striking roofs of Rome.

The biggest surprise is given by the archaeological site with eight arcades (Piano -1) of the Virgin Aqueduct built between 25 and 19 aC. from Agrippa, on which flowing images of the led tell the story.

But do not forget about shopping!

The stores occupy the first to the fifth floor, each specially designed by a different architect, in order to give a sense of customization: corner, shop in shop and multibrand areas. From clothing collections and accessories from emerging designers to Made in Italy. In total? Ben 800 brand!
